Colorado for Mental Health and Healing Sign-On
Thank you for your interest in joining Colorado for Mental Health and Healing! This coalition, launched by Violence Free Colorado, Colorado Coalition Against Sexual Assault, and Colorado Organization for Victim Assistance, is spearheading a first-in-the-nation solution to the Victims of Crime Act (VOCA) funding crisis faced by Colorado victim services providers.

HB24-1349 refers a ballot measure to the November 2024 statewide election asking Colorado voters to approve an excise tax of 6.5% on the gross taxable retail sales of firearm dealers, firearms manufacturers, and ammunition vendors for all firearms, firearm precursor parts, and ammunition sold in the state. If approved, the collected revenue will fund crime victims’ services and prevention, mental health services for veterans and at-risk youth, school safety and gun violence prevention.
