Yes On F - Vote16SF is paying youth leaders to be a part of the final days of our campaign!
Prop F is the SF ballot measure to expand voting rights to 16 and 17-year-old citizens in local and school board elections.
Youth started this campaign in 2014 - and have pushed it all the way to this point! In these finals days we are focused on getting the word out to voters in our support base: people ages 18-40. For more info on the campaign go to: http://vote16sf.org/
Description of work needed:
1) PHONEBANKING - calling voters on their cell phones to remind them to vote YES on Prop F! [ At 661 Natoma Street. ]
2) VISIBILITY - hanging out on street corners and busy transportation stations waving signs and passing out postcards to voters walking by. [ Location will vary according to shift. ]
3) OPTIONAL ORIENTATION - Our Volunteer Kick Off is Friday, 11/4 from 6-8pm at 11 Christopher Drive. There will be food, an overview of the next four days' goals, and the opportunity to meet other volunteers/paid youth and the youth who have been working on this. **11/3 HEY ALL :) CAPACITY WAS REACHED FOR THIS EVENT!!!**
***Both of these roles will be infinitely more fun, the more friends you recruit! **All training provided at the beginning of the shift. *Snacks and water provided!
Desired Qualifications:- Passionate, enthusiastic, pumped about Prop. F!
The campaign is paying the stipend equivalent to $15/hour. Shifts are 4 hours long.Shifts range between 10am-8pm, Saturday 11/5 - Tuesday 11/8! This opportunity is for youth ages 13-24. Adults are invited to help as volunteers!
