The Cumberland Farmers Market in Cumberland, Ontario, has a mandate to support local farmers and small businesses that produce products locally and are handmade artisanal products.  

We try to make certain that products at our market are locally grown or locally/handmade.  And that these locally made products are being sold directly by the producers or by designated representatives who are familiar with the business operations and means of production.  NOT every single items at the market must be hand made, but the majority of any single vendors product line should reflect significant involvement in its production. 

We do not approve vendors with product lines that were not hand made. 

Examples of restricted products -  Sublimation products, commercially made or purchased products with minor modifications, and imprinted products with only minor modifications.

Fees -  There is an Annual $25 Membership fee charged to each vendor (1) once per year upon acceptance of their application to our 2024 Cumberland Farmers Market season or at the time of acceptance to any of our Specialty Markets.

IF you are selected to join our Market based on this application - your Membership fee will be added to your invoice. 

  FULL Season Vendor 18 weeks - $45 per week (2 payments - May 1st and August 1st, 2024) $810

 Choice Vendor 8 - 15 weeks - $50 per week (2 payments due by May 1st and August 1st, 2024) 

 Occasional Vendor 3 - 7 weeks - $60 per week. (Membership fee plus 3 market fees due by May 1st. Remaining weeks due the week prior to registered event)  THIS APPLICATION IS FOR VENDORS APPLYING FOR A MINIMUM OF 3 WEEKS. 

*Single Week Applications are ONLY available for waitlist until MAY 1 (we will email the waitlisted vendors on in the weeks before those open available single spots for farmers market weeks, and register for individual weeks as they become available) 

 ALL SPECIALTY MARKETS ARE ADDITIONAL and do not count toward your #of weeks. WE OFFER SPACE TO OUR WEEKLY FARMERS MARKET VENDORS FIRST, and then open the available spaces to others. 

 The Cumberland Farmers Market does not give refunds due to cancellations, vendor personal issue, conflicting event, weather, acts of God or any other unforeseeable issues. Check here that you understand the Fee's and IF you have been accepted you agree to pay in the timeline above.

Choice Vendors and Occasional Vendors - Select your preferred weeks here. (we reserve the right to limit # of vendors and types of vendors to allow a balance variety at the market committees discretion.)

  ONLY SELECT DATES YOU ABLE TO ATTEND  - we can always ADD weeks throughout the season but only select dates on this application that you are willing to attend.  WE do not refund for Markets you do not attend but have registered for.

You will receive your Acceptances to the Spring Market along with your Farmers Market invoice in MARCH 2024 and first payments will be DUE MAY 1st, 2024 to hold your spots.

Include a brief description.  We use this information to determine if you qualify for our Market.   

You are NOT allowed to bring items not listed, as we may have placed you in direct line of competition with another vendor with similar products.  (for example, you cannot bring soap unless soap is listed so we do not have multiple soap sellers in one row.)

We do not approve vendors with product lines that were not hand made.

Social Media and Promotions - We both take pictures at the event and gather promotional images to support our efforts to generate attendance. Please check to accept that photo's may be taken at the event and that there is no expectation of restriction on photography in a public forum like a Farmers Market.  *
You understand this is an application and must be reviewed and is not automatic acceptance into the CFM or to the selected preferred dates.  That the committee and its members and staff reserve the right to refuse any application.  

Your Acceptance will be accompanied by an INVOICE which will reflect your approved registration selections plus your Membership fee. 

Any modifications to your registration after acceptance can be made through the market manager.  Date changes and adding or removing dates etc... will be at their discretion.   

Sharing of you space is between a maximum of 2 vendors. Full disclosure of all parties involved, and any FILL-IN VENDOR who you hope to fill in your spot while you are away must be PRE-APPROVED by our Market Manager.
