Hex House ✧ Membership Inquiry
♡⌂ Hex House is a shared artist studio and event space in a warehouse in East Williamsburg, Brooklyn, NY, USA ⌂♡

Hex House in its current form began in 2021 and has grown to be a home for 30+ members who all share the space for a deeply wide range of practices and activities–among us are painters woodworkers zinemakers livecoders performers educators musicians and diy reproductive healthcare workers. We are always changing and reimagining. We are excited to learn more about you.

If a question is marked with a "⌂" character, your response will be sent to our discord where members can view. All other questions will only be viewable to the 6 Hex House Maintainers who work together on running the space. 

Within about a week, we will get back to you via email and may invite you to East Williamsburg for a tour where you'll be able to see the space in person and learn more.

Our communal event and co working space
A small studio ($570/month) & a mezzanine studio ($971/month)

Membership Types
  • All memberships include 24/7 access
  • All Studio spaces get a similar amount of light from the skylights and windows. 
  • Sharing a studio means that you occupy half of a studio space, and that someone may join you to be in the other half later if someone is not there already

Base 
Full use of the communal spaces, amenities, and event hosting with shelf storage and a hot desk options.

Small Studio (Designated Desk)
6'x8' space for a large desk, tools, and other materials. Many of them have a steel scaffolding structure around them on which members can build.

Ground Floor Studio
15'6"x9'4" space with 3 walls. 

Mezzanine Studio
12'x9'(M) or 14'4"x8'4"(L) space with 3 walls up a flight of stairs on a steel mezzanine constructed in the space.


Our contracts typically renew on a 6 month basis and we ask for one month's deposit. We set member dues prices as low as possible such that we only meet our expenses if our membership is full. Our expenses are rent, utilities, as well as Maintainer labor. The dues above are also inclusive of a 3% payment processing fee from Stripe.

Hex House is now offering a "family plan" option to help support caretakers of small children! Parents can now have two memberships for the price of one. If you are applying for family plan membership what is your partners name? Your partner must also must also fill out this application separately.

Hex House asks new members to sign a membership agreement contract that also is a commitment to abide by a Community Agreement (Code of Conduct) that is an effort towards ensuring all members are committed and accountable to doing their part in making Hex House a safer space.
