INTERNSHIP FAQ

WHO CAN APPLY:
University, tribal college, and high school students.

REQUIREMENTS:
All applicants must: 1) be an enrolled student 2) be a member of an AIBL chapter. If you are not currently a member of an AIBL chapter, it's easy to start one! Let us know and we can send you instructions on how to do so.

WHERE IS THE INTERNSHIP?
We have a list of host partners that would love to host you, in cities around the country. If you have a specific organization you'd like to work for, let us know and we can try to arrange it. Requested placements occur on a case-by-case basis and pending host organization approval. You will have the opportunity to interview with your potential host organization prior to being assigned in order to make sure it's a good fit for you and them.

HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS:
If accepted into the program, you will be required to work in your hometown aka where you return each summer break, not in the city where you go to school.

WHEN CAN I OFFICIALLY APPLY?
The internship application will open officially on January 1, 2019. This form is simply to express interest so we can connect with you prior to the application period and answer any questions you may have.

Our Internship Program Director, Hannah Sheffield, can be reached personally if you have questions beyond this questionnaire. Her email is hannah.sheffield@aibl.org.

We look forward to learning more about you!
