Your Forward 50 nominations
Each year since 1994, the Forward has compiled a list of the 50 "most influential" American Jews. The word "influential" has been interpreted differently at different times -- sometimes the list was dominated by well-known power-brokers, sometimes it was dotted with the notorious as well as the admired. The format was evolved, too -- last year, we asked the honorees, among other things, what they eat for breakfast (Rep. Jerry Nadler? Gefilte fish.)
Between the pandemic, politics and protests, 2020 was a news year like no other, and we are reimagining the list alongside everything else we do. But there will be a list! And we're eager for your contributions. You can nominate someone you read about in the Forward or another publication -- or you can introduce us to someone in your community we would never otherwise know. We'd love to hear about innovative rabbis, tireless first responders, creative teachers, inspirational internet stars, committed neighbors, future leaders of all types, survivors and strugglers, everyday heroes.
The criteria are simple. Forward 50 nominees have to be Americans, have to be Jewish, and have to be influential -- to you. Please fill out the form below so we can consider your candidates. You're welcome to nominate a relative or client, just please let us know your connection (last question of the form).
Thanks for your help, and for being part of the Forward family,
