INTRODUCTION

Auldcathie Easter Extravaganza & Hunt aims to provide the community with a place to celebrate the season together, and purchase products from local businesses, to support local enterprises .It's also somewhere for independent businesses to market to new customers and increase their sales.

PITCH LOCATION AND CRITERIA 

The market will consist of 10 pitches which will be held under a marquee in Auldcathie Park. Where possible there will be no two businesses the same, allowing for maximum sales for each business. There will be no need for individual gazebos, but please bring your own equipment - tables will need to be supplied by the vendor. There is limited electricity onsite so if you require electricity, please let us know. Where we are unable to provide, you will need to provide your own portable power generator please ensure it meets all compulsory safety requirements.

HOW TO APPLY FOR A PITCH 

Please give a detailed list of products/ services you wish to sell in the space below. The clearer and more detailed the information, the greater the chance of your application being accepted.  

· Include at least 3 images that will help support your application, send to Admin@winchburghcgg.co.uk

· If you are applying to have a catering pitch, you must provide details of registration with your local authority as well as your hygiene rating (if applicable) with your application. If your application is successful, PAT certificates, gas certificates (if applicable), Public Liability Insurance and risk assessment forms will be required to be returned by receipt of your

SECURITY & SAFETY

There will be no security on site during the trading times so the vendors will be fully responsible for their site and all items and equipment. Vendors are advised to wear money belts and not to leave their pitch unattended where possible.

Due to the location of the marquee if the wind levels are expected to reach 20mph or above,  the market will be cancelled and if possible re-located due to health & safety We aim to give as much notice as possible but weather can be unpredictable.

PARKING & ACCESS 

Parking will be available at the main car park at Winchburgh Academy or Sinclair Academy (EH52 6WG), which is a short walk from the market site. Please do not park in neighbouring streets that surround the park.

Vendors set up will be available from 11.00am, and they should have set up completed by 12.30pm. Help will be available to support vendors get down to the park, please get in contact if you require support.

RUBBISH 

All vendors will be responsible for keeping their pitch and surrounding area clear of all litter and fully responsible for their own rubbish

PITCH PRESENTATION

All stalls/ pitches must always look appealing and as presentable as possible. If any stall holders do not meet the expected standards, they will be asked to make necessary adjustments.

MARKETING 

Details of the market will be shared across social media platforms such as Facebook with the emphasis being on community and supporting local and independent businesses.  We will  be highlighting individual market stall details to help promote vendors - please can you be sure to support this and share this messaging across your own networks.
