Interested in understanding more about what sophomore students at NSHS learn in the peer-led programs "Courageous Conversations about Race"?   Faculty leaders, Gerry Gagnon (Science Department Head) and Katani Sumner (METCO Counselor & English Teacher) and student peer leaders will host a workshop and answer questions about how NSHS is supporting all students to better understand issues of race and ethnic identity and build healthy, inclusive spaces and school culture. For more information and resources, please see FORJ (Families Organizing for Racial Justice) at www.forjnewton.com - a coalition of families in and around Newton educating ourselves, our children, our schools and our communities about race, racism, culture and identity.
