Criteria:

1. Must be or become a regular, retired, or student member of the Iowa School Social Workers Association
2. Must follow through on commitments and work in the best interest of the association
3. Must be willing to learn new skills, and commit to serving the best interests of youth, families, schools, and practitioners in Iowa
4. Must be willing to serve on at least one board committee
5. Must participate in at least 70% of all board meetings - one hour a month at noon via Zoom 10 months a year and one full day retreat in person.
6. Must commit to the purpose and function of ISSWA: to promote effective, evidence-based services to students, families, and schools through relevant professional development and legislative advocacy.

I am interested in the elected 3-year term Member-at-Large Board position. Members-at-Large take a leadership role in developing the annual conference.  The senior Member-at-Large serves as a the Conference Committee Chair. *
I am interested in serving as the Newsletter Chair. The Newsletter Chair will gather information for the ISSWA Newsletter which will be published and distributed electronically. *
I am interested in serving as Treasurer. The Treasurer is mostly responsible for managing ISSWA's fiscal responsibilities. *

Please explain briefly why you want to be on the board (Your answer will be shared with at the membership meeting at our annual conference for the elected positions of vice president, secretary and the member-at-large positions.
