2025 General Participation  |  6th Annual Collections Symposium -  Future of Collections     

The Slavic Reference Service (SRS) at the University of Illinois Library will be hosting a two-day Collections Symposium (Theme: Future of Collections), on February 6-7, 2025, 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. CST, through Zoom. The symposium is made possible by funding from the Department of State’s Program for the Study of Eastern Europe and the Independent States of the Former Soviet Union (Title VIII).

We seek to highlight case studies that are experimenting with and utilizing innovative models and approaches to collecting, selecting, assessing, and overall management of academic collections. We are also interested in the experiences of selectors and administrators in formulating collection development and access policies at academic, special, technical, and national libraries.
