The affairs of the T. Leroy Jefferson Medical Society are managed by its Officers and Members of the Board of Directors. The Officers shall have control of and be responsible for the management of the affairs and property of group. The Constitutional Officers of the Society shall be a President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary, Parliamentarian, and Chaplain. The Officers make up the Executive Committee.
Board members will serve for a period of two (2) years. Elected members of the Board of Directors shall not serve for more than two (2) consecutive terms. Nominees for elected members of the Board of Directors must have been active members for one (1) year and must have served on a standing committee for at least one (1) year.
As part of the nomination process, once nominated, candidates must disclose any past actions or behavior that could potentially damage the organization's reputation.
