Stand with Us for a Cleaner, More Affordable Energy Future
Pro-fossil fuel groups are flooding City Council and Naperville residents with misinformation, trying to scare them into rushing a 20-year extension of Naperville’s energy contract with IMEA—without competitive bids, price caps, or clean energy commitments.
Our current contract doesn’t expire until 2035, but IMEA wants us locked in this summer for another 30 years, until 2055. As City Council discusses the agenda for its first energy workshop and considers a vote in August, climate deniers and coal supporters are mobilizing their base to show up and pressure our leaders.
We need your voice to demand better. The federal government is doing all it can to stop all movement towards sustainability, but we can still make an enormous difference here in Naperville! Act locally by joining us, hold a SAY NO TO COAL sign, and speak out for transparency, public input, and real energy choices for Naperville’s future.
