wire mouse guards are generally not necessary on peaches because if groundcover is kept well-mowed, voles should not be a problem with peaches
weeds and root suckers are just inviting peach tree borers to lay eggs there

Nothing, it does not bother me too much
Remove mouse guards and clean up base of tree as an integrated pest management strategy to reduce the need for insecticide trunk sprays to control peach tree borers
Spray some herbicide to control weeds after cutting out root suckers
