UCLA Disability Alumni Network is recruiting for leadership positions on the Executive Board. This is a great opportunity to build community with other Bruins, gain leadership experience, and make a real difference for Bruins with disabilities!

Application and Election Timeline

• Self-nominations (this form) are open from June 9-July 17. Feel free to apply for multiple positions. Don't be afraid to try for a position that is new for you but in a skill you'd like to develop!  

• Elections will be held from July 17-July 24 for members to vote in

• Those elected will need to accept until July 24 - July 29

• Newly elected members will have an orientation meeting Monday, Aug. 10 6 - 7:30 p.m. PST before officially joining the board in September!

Positions Open on the UDAN Executive Board:

Co-President: 2 positions open

• Work with the current co-president to conduct UDAN activities and operations

• Delegate responsibilities to board members

• Run board meetings and serve as a representative of UDAN

Treasurer: 1 position open

• Track the money in UDAN’s account 

• Identify new fundraising strategies or streams 

• Submit any necessary financial paperwork

• Manage event budgets as needed 

Secretary: 1 position open

• Takes minutes at all meetings 

• Keeps track of by-laws

• Submit compliance paperwork and other documentation to DPI / UCLA Alumni

Vice President of Alumni Outreach: 1 position open

• Manage the Mentorship Program

• Work with VP of Community Engagement to increase UDAN’s membership and program partnership 

Co-Vice President of Social Media: 1 positions open

• Manage UDAN Social Media pages

• The main focus is currently Instagram; can add / drop other platforms to suit your preferences

• Work with other board members to advertise events and provide general information about UDAN, disability advocacy, and growing our community
