Woods Flock Summer Splash 2023 Poll/Reg
Summer Splash will be a FREE day to relax and have fun at Shellmound Picnic Area on Nickajack Lake, 25min West of Chattanooga, Tennessee. It is being held on Saturday, July 29th with optional camping (does cost) available over the weekend. The following form includes both a poll, registration, and provides detailed info on the meet which will also be available on our website in the future. Please only fill it out if you intend to come.

Remember, this is outside and will likely be HOT! You should dress in light, loose, wicking layers if you plan to go on the morning hike. And of course you will probably want to bring swimming attire, including water shoes or sandals with straps; the shoreline can be slippery and rocky. Please remember also to drink plenty of water the night before and continue to hydrate throughout the day!  While we will have water coolers you should still bring your own water bottle and snacks if you want. Fursuits are NOT recommended near the water but are okay for socializing at the pavilion,  campgrounds, or for photo ops. Please do not try to fursuit while hiking or in the water!

This is an At Your Own Risk event - Woods Flock and other participating groups cannot be held responsible for any illness or injury that may occur. In the case of first aid being necessary, there will be a kit & FR. There is NO LIFEGUARD ON DUTY. Please wear a life vest and stick to the shallows if you are not a confident swimmer.

Rough Splash Itinerary (CENTRAL time - although it is near Chattanooga, Shellmound is CST) - please note that board/card games and art supplies will be available at the large pavilion for anyone not wanting to go in the water, or just taking a break. Artists are welcome to sell as well, as long as you only have a small display or bring your own table, just keep in mind this is a small/casual event. There is a second pavilion near the water which we are going to try to grab as well to keep towels, water toys, drinking water, etc. A standing tent will also be set up for folks to change in. 

7:00am - Staff arrives at pavilion for setup
7:30am - Campground office opens for site reservations (FCFS)  
8:20am - Hikers gather @ pavilion
8:30-10:30am - Hiking and hanging out
11:00am Group Photo at the pavilion followed by picnicking, open swimming/playing, etc until we get tired
Board games and toys will be available at the pavillion, please clean up/put away when done. 
~7pm Group paddle for those who brought boats to watch the bats come out at dusk

This is a Bring Your Own Picnic Lunch event. We will be grilling corn and have watermelon as well as some beverages/snacks from the Woods Flock Con Store available by optional donation. If you are camping,  please provide your own food, there are no stores, snack bars etc on site.
