Twin Cities Horror Festival VI Application

The Twin Cities Horror Festival, now entering its sixth year, is committed to exploring the many facets of the horror genre, from dark comedy to psychological horror to bloody carnage on stage and everything in between. TCHF VI will feature a mix of returning and new artists. TCHF selects its participating artists with an eye toward curating a broad and deep exploration of the nature of horror and creating an excellent experience for our participants and patrons.

We are seeking experienced producers who will be able to execute their vision with both artistic and technical excellence.

TCHF VI will run October 26 to November 5, 2017 at the Southern Theater in Minneapolis. There is no application fee to apply. If you are selected for the festival, there will be a $350 production fee (due within two weeks of being selected). We are increasing our TCHF artist payout this year from 85% to 100% of ticket sales (minus credit card processing fees).

If you feel that your production idea does not lie within the bounds of our past stage offerings, space requirements, and/or typical performance scheduling, we highly encourage you to apply. We are always interested in hearing non-traditional ideas and ways to bring new horror experiences to our audience. We are committed to creating a diverse festival that features both unconventional ideas and under-represented voices.

Lastly, we are adding an interview component into the application process this year. The process breaks down as follows:

Applications due April 7, 2017.
Curatorial committee selects candidate pool from applications in late April.
Candidate projects will interview with selection panel first week of May.
Accepted groups notified no later than May 13, 2017.
Production Fee due no later than May 26, 2017.
