Share Your Story: How the Federal Government Shutdown Is Affecting Behavioral and Brain Science Research

The Federation of Associations in Behavioral & Brain Sciences (FABBS) wants to hear from you if you’ve been negatively affected by the federal government shutdown.

We’re collecting stories from researchers, educators, and students about how the shutdown has disrupted your work, your lab, or your training.

From paused grant reviews and delayed payments to canceled meetings and halted data collection, these interruptions have real consequences — not only for science, but for the people and communities whose lives benefit from behavioral and brain research.

Your stories help FABBS communicate to policymakers and the public what’s at stake when the federal government shuts down. We may follow up for clarification, but we will not share your name or institution publicly without your permission.
