We would like to invite you to attend the sixth annual UA Little Rock Mobile Institute on Scientific Teaching (MoSI) in person on May 13 - 17th (9:30 am to 4 pm)!
This workshop is open to all faculty and staff that teach at UA Little Rock, not just science faculty (as may be inferred by the name of the workshop).
The UA Little Rock MoSI workshop will expand and sharpen participants teaching skills through workshops facilitated by national science education experts and many of our own faculty members! Participants will have a hands-on experience of the impact of evidence-based teaching approaches such as active learning and inclusive teaching practices, with deliberate and backwards design. This workshop has been identified as a major transformative event in the career of many college faculty, from R1 institutions to community colleges.
Please complete the following application form by the end of the day on December 9th. We anticipate that we will reach out to you to confirm participation (based on availability of positions) as soon as we can, ideally by January 14th.
Not sure if you are ready to apply yet? Email any of the past participants or steering committee members (found on our home page
https://ualr.edu/provost/mosi/), or Mark Baillie (
mtbaillie@ualr.edu) with any questions.
