Bluegrass, Old Time, and Country Music Studies: Guitar Giveaway
A generous supporter of Bluegrass, Old Time, and Country Music Studies at East Tennessee State University has graciously donated two guitars to be given to students in the program. The instruments include a Blueridge BR-240 A model Pre-War Series Dreadnaught Guitar with accessories and a case, and a small body, Blueridge BR-143 Historic Series Guitar, also with accessories and a case.

To be eligible to receive one of these instruments, you must be a current student enrolled in graduate or undergraduate courses (major or minor) in the Bluegrass, Old Time, and Country Music Studies program at ETSU and apply using this form.

When completing this form, please be prepared to submit the following:

• A 350-450 word essay describing why you should be selected to own one of these instruments. Please include how owning one of these instruments would help you either personally or professionally.

• A YouTube video link of you performing either alone or with a group. If you choose to submit a video with a group, be sure that you are featured prominently. The video should be approx. 3 minutes long.

• GPA and Student E number.

• The number of credit hours successfully completed toward your degree (including the current semester).

Applications will be evaluated by a special committee and winners will be chosen by the end of the Fall 2017 semester.
