Important Information:
This application must be completed by the end of the day on September 1, 2025. Late applications or supporting documentation will not be accepted.
In addition to the application, the following items are required to be submitted to
info@skipmorganldcscholarship.org:
In one email, with the applicant’s full name in the subject line, submit the following:

Last semester’s transcript from the school listed in the application.
•
A copy of the letter of acceptance to the institution of higher education
•
A word or PDF document summarizing the service activities and hours that have been completed in the last 12 months as referenced in the application. Sample provided
here.
Two letters will also be required with your application and other documentation.

Submit two letters of recommendation from someone associated with the volunteer service you’ve done (someone you volunteered with, a coordinator at the organization, a recipient of your service, etc.). Please have those you ask to write the letters send a PDF copy directly to
info@skipmorganldcscholarship.org with the applicant’s full name in the subject line.
The final part of this application includes several free response questions. As there is no way to save your progress with this form, it is highly recommended that you type down your answers to these questions elsewhere before beginning this application, then paste them in while filling out the application.
Each free response question should be answered in 300 words or fewer. Here are the questions that will be asked:
1)
Describe the service activities you have participated in during the last calendar year. Include all types of service and volunteer work done (Red Cross, community, school, home, etc.).
2)
Explain how your volunteer service has made a difference in your school, community, family, etc. Please be specific and use examples of how your service has made an impact.
3)
What issue(s) does your service address and why did you choose to get involved in this type of service?
4)
Describe the service activity that best demonstrates your leadership skills.
5)
How will this scholarship help you fund your education and help attain your post-high school educational and career goals? Please explain what those goals are.
6)
Read the biography about Skip Morgan (either at smldc.org or in the questionnaire below) and then share how you plan to continue his legacy of selfless giving and striving to make the world a better place.All finalists will be required to interview in-person with the selection committee Saturday, September 20th or Saturday, September 27th, 2025. Interviews may also be video recorded. If you are one of the selected recipients, you will be notified by email as well as receive an official letter. All other applicants will receive an email notification. All applicants will receive notification by no later than October 4th, 2025.
All scholarship recipients will also be required to attend the scholarship awards banquet where they will be publicly recognized as this year's scholarship winners. The event is TBA.
