Thank you for your interest in serving as a Discovery Bible Study (DBS) facilitator. Please note that we are looking for born-again, growing Christians to facilitate DBS's, although anyone can join a DBS as a participant. Before you fill out this form, make sure that you go to the
DBS Guide website and watch the DBS overview video and check out the other resources on the site.
What you see on the DBS Guide website is what we ask DBS facilitators to follow in their groups. In addition, DBS's meet weekly for approximately one hour (they can be in person or online, although we encourage groups to try to meet in person when possible). We typically try to associate new DBS's with the class that the facilitators are attending. This means that in-person groups often meet before or after the class that they all attend together. We will contact your professor and ask them to give you an opportunity to promote your DBS in class.
Please note that prospective DBS facilitators must attend a facilitator training time before they can facilitate a DBS. These are held once or twice each semester. In addition, facilitators will have weekly virtual meetings either with a DBS Coach or trainer.
After submitting this form, you will receive further information about the training and other important matters. Feel free to reach out to Dr. Randy Wollf (randy.wollf@twu.ca) if you have any questions.
