Every month, we set up a monthly discussion on our data journalism Slack team.
We’ve already tackled topics such as holding the powerful accountable with data, environmental data journalism and working with crime and police data. These monthly chats were a real success, with participants from around the world joining the conversation.

2019's biggest challenges for data journalism? + DJA 2019 Launch | 13 December 2018 9AM Pacific Time
To mark the launch of Season 8 of the Data Journalism Awards, we’ve decided to gather members of the jury for a discussion on where data journalism is going these days and what challenges they see data teams facing in 2019. Plus we’ll talk about the launch of the competition and what expectations they have this year.
