Parents/Guardians,

Please read the following information closely. We appreciate that you have reasoning behind your request for a permit for your child/children. Please be cognizant of the fact that numerous factors must be considered before permits can be granted. Some of those factors include:

Attendance concerns
Academic performance (number of credits)
Discipline history
Daycare issues
Employee considerations
Classroom size/numbers
School enrollment numbers
Athletes/IHSAA considerations
Transportation (parents/guardians must provide transportation and consider travel obstacles/distance that could result in tardies, etc.)
Special Education Programming (not all programs are offered at every school)

Before a permit is granted, you may be asked to attend a meeting to review grades, discipline, attendance, graduation pathways, etc. You may also be requested to attend a case conference if your child has an IEP or a Section 504 Plan.
