New SLO Transit Routes Feedback Survey
A coalition of Cal Poly student organizations are concerned with the new SLO Transit bus routes. We believe that they do not provide adequate bus service to the residents of San Luis Obispo, many of who rely on the buses to take them to and from the Cal Poly campus. The new bus routes, which began in June 2017, provide significantly less bus service to many parts of San Luis Obispo and resulting in overcrowded buses and people being left behind by full buses. For example, the student-heavy Foothill neighborhoods have half the number of buses as they did last year, despite more students needing to use the buses this year as parking permit prices have increased and the number of permits available has decreased. This means that buses fill up during peak hours and leave students behind, forcing them to walk to campus and miss or be late for class/work.

Feedback obtained by the survey will be communicated to the City of San Luis Obispo, SLO Transit, and Cal Poly administrators.

Thank you for your participation as we try to make Cal Poly and SLO a better place to live!
