Transportation is provided for families living 2 or more miles from Viola Gibson Elementary. Anyone who had transportation in 2022-23 will automatically be routed to their home address. This form is for the following situations:

1. New Students: If you live more than 2 miles from the school, please request busing to let our principal secretary know that you will want busing for next fall. If you do NOT want busing please fill out this form to Opt-Out.

2. Modification of address; IE your student takes the bus to/from daycare instead of your home address. You are REQUIRED to fill out a modification EVERY year.

3. Modification of days riding; IE your student only takes the bus certain days. A schedule must be provided.

4. If you live more than 2 miles from the school but want to opt out of busing for the school year. You are REQUIRED to fill out the opt out EVERY year. This is for anyone K-5th who lives in the busing zone.

Confirmation on your route can take up to 5 business days. If you live outside 2 miles of Viola Gibson School busing is free. If you live less than 2 miles it is paid busing. For the cost of busing you will have to contact the transportation office to see what the amount would be.
