Please select all volunteer positions you are interested in filling. Although we can not guarantee your position, we will make every effort to accommodate your selection. *

Event Set-up: Move event supplies, set up tables, arrange T-shirt boxes, hang signs and unload trucks. This position requires lifting and/or manual labor.

Registration: Ensure that all riders are registered for the event, direct riders towards the correct route, and assist with day-of-event registration.

Energize Station Volunteers: Refuel participants with fruit, snacks and water. Assist handing out participant t-shirts.

Ride For Equity Pep squad: create a welcoming atmosphere at Ferndale Foods to say farewell to the riders as they head to the next location.

Event Breakdown: Collect signs from the event areas, break down tables, repack supplies and load boxes onto trucks. This position requires heavy lifting and/or manual labor.

I the participant, intending to be legally bound do hereby waive and forever release all rights and claims for damages or injuries that I may have against the Black Leaders Detroit and all of their agents assisting with the event, sponsors and their representatives, volunteers and employees for any and all injuries to me or my personal property. This release includes all injuries and/or damages suffered by me before, during or after the event. I recognize, intend and understand that this release is binding on my heirs, executors, administrators, or assignees. As it applies to my participation in this event, I agree to abide by the Center for Disease Control (CDC)’s recommendations for the prevention of the spread of COVID-19 and attest to having read the CDC’s guidance. Further, I grant permission to all the foregoing to use my name, voice and images in any photographs or video recordings for legitimate purposes.
