hank you for your interest in the Hilltop Pride. A group lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer or questioning group for employees of Dallas' University. This group is not officially affiliated with SMU, but is largely - if not exclusively - comprised of SMU faculty and staff.
Our proposed mission is to: "advocate for a culture of respect and to monitor progress toward equality of all persons with regard to sexual orientation and gender identity. This unaffiliated group promotes policies and practices that have a positive effect on the health, welfare and safety of persons who live, visit or work on the Hilltop with regard to sexual orientation, and gender identity and expression. We seek to identify barriers that inhibit the full inclusion and advancement of persons from our community in order to forward innovative, evidence-informed recommendations that support the creation of an inclusive and welcoming climate on the Hilltop.".
