All prospective applicants must inform and seek approval from their immediate organizational supervisor, and their Country Coordinator, before applying. Only approved applications will be considered.
Working Group Membership Requirements
Serving voluntarily without financial compensation, members of the Working Groups:
- Shall have a strong knowledge of the GLOBE Program and the ability to understand and respect diverse points of view;
- Shall have the relevant expertise needed by a specific Working Group:
- Expertise for the Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Accessibility (DEIA) Working Group knowledge of, or experience with practices to increase diversity, inclusion, and equity; an action-oriented mindset to work towards a more welcoming GLOBE Program and a passion for diversity, equity and inclusion work.
- Expertise for the Education Working Group professional experience as in-service or pre-service educator in formal and informal education, or as an education administrator; experience in working with scientists and engineers; etc.
- Expertise for the Science Working Group research experience in one or more of the disciplines in Earth system science, and in working with educators; etc
- Expertise for the Technology Working Group knowledge of, or experience with website design; web technology and delivery; mobile applications development; database design, development, and administration; scientific data processing; data display and visualization; education technology; social networking; user analysis; etc.
