EVENTS & WEIGHTS:

What should you do if you can't complete a rep at the given weight? (i.e. for the barbell clean and press). That's okay! Just give each event your best attempt and submit all your videos. Full effort counts for a lot.
BARBELL CLEAN & PRESS FOR REPS (CLEAN EVERY REP)

For 30 seconds, athletes will clean the barbell from the floor and press overhead to locked position, head through arms, both feet together/parallel, demonstrating control. Repeat until 30 seconds is complete. The clean may be done in ANY fashion (i.e. full clean, power clean, continental clean, zercher clean). The overhead component may also be done in ANY fashion (i.e. push press/jerk, split jerk, strict press). Most reps will take the highest placing in each weight/age class.

YES (allowed): Belts, under-belts, wrist wraps, elbow sleeves, knee sleeves/wraps, chalk, grip shirts.
NO (not allowed): TACKY!
BARBELL CONVENTIONAL DEADLIFT ONE REP MAX

Athlete will lift a loaded barbell from the ground (standard 9" height) to a full locked-out position, knees locked, shoulders back, and hips through, with barbell resting against legs. CONVENTIONAL stance only (NO SUMO), arms outside knees. Barbell does not need to be 45lb, but if it's not, please specify in your submission. MUST BE A STRAIGHT BAR (no trap bar / side handle). Conventional, round weight plates only (largest plate no larger than ~ 45cm/18in diameter). Plates must start resting on the floor. Heaviest single lift takes highest placing for each weight/age class. Please clearly show weights before or after the lift in your video.

NOTE: If you completed a ONE REP MAX deadlift that meets the above specifications sometime between January 8, 2024, and now, you may submit video of that lift for your qualifier (ie. a conventional deadlift in a powerlifting meet).

YES: Straps, chalk, knees sleeves, elbow sleeves, belts, hitching.
NO: DEADLIFT SUITS, TACKY, TACKY TOWEL OR SPRAY, NO SUMO DEADLIFT.
FRONT HOLD FOR MAXIMUM TIME (Weight Plate)

Athlete must hold the weight plate in front of their face with arms straight, back AND hips against a wall. Time starts when elbows are locked out, and top of weight plate is positioned no higher than the top of athlete's head and no lower than athlete's chin. There is NO TIME LIMIT on this event. When the weight plate drops below the athlete's chin, arms bend at elbows, or back or hips come off the wall, time will stop. Longest hold takes the highest placing.

VIDEO MUST BE TAKEN FROM SIDE/OBLIQUE ANGLE (not directly in front).

YES: Chalk, wrist wraps.
NO: Anything else. (ONLY CHALK AND WRIST WRAPS ALLOWED).
