THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN BECOMING A READING BUDDY AT SETON SCHOOLS.  WE ARE AT CAPACITY AND NO LONGER ABLE TO ACCEPT NEW REGISTRATIONS FOR READING BUDDIES.  THANK YOU.

If you enjoy working with children, and are looking for a way to make a lasting difference in a child’s life, the Seton Happy Readers program could be the perfect volunteer opportunity.

The Seton Catholic Schools are seeking volunteers who are willing to give a couple hours one day a week during the school day, to help students strengthen their reading skills. Tutors meet with 3 students the same day each week.  Experience is not required.

Volunteer tutors are needed at 8 Seton Catholic Schools in Milwaukee, October 2025 - May 2026.  If you're interested in becoming a Reading Tutor, please fill out the information below.   Please note, there are stairs in the schools.  Also, all tutors should have access to email to participate in the program.

Once you have submitted the form below, watch for an invitation to the tutor training meeting:

Safe Environment Education 

Reading Tutors are required to complete the Archdiocese of Milwaukee Safe Environment Education.

Tutor Guidelines
   
1)  Comply with school application processes and training programs.   
2)  Do not be in a secluded place in the school with a child.                                                                                   
3)  Do not make contact with a child outside of the tutor assignment.   
4)  Follow the school restroom policy for volunteers.
