West Orange High School (NJ) Marching Mountaineers Registration 2018
Dear Students and Parents,

The Marching Mountaineers are one of the most active and decorated groups on the campus of WOHS. We want you to be a part of the 2018 season! The band performs at varsity football games, regional competitions, as well as local civic functions. As a part of the band, you will build relationships that will last a lifetime and you’ll start your first day of high school with over 100 friends.

Students can be part of the Marching Mountaineers in one of four sections: color guard, drum line, pit percussion, and winds (woodwinds and brass). All of the sections will begin rehearsing in May or June.

The membership fee per student for the 2018 season is $300.00. This fee covers:

Band Camp room & board
Marching band member t-shirt
Music Boosters dues

Band Camp is Sunday, August 12 through Friday, August 17. Band Camp is absolutely mandatory for all members! Upon returning from camp, we will do our annual Preview Performance at Suriano Field at approximately 5:00pm on August 17. The last event of the week will be the Annual Music Booster Car Wash on Saturday, August 18. Every family is asked to volunteer for this important fundraiser.
Registration is submitted online!

1. Go to www.WOHSMusic.org and click on the Marching Band link on the right. On that page please find the link to the calendar and 2018 marching band permission slip/medical form.
2. Fill out the general contact and medical information.
3. After you click submit, remit the $300.00 membership fee online via PayPal. If you prefer to write a check, please print the voucher at the end of the registration process and make the check payable to the WOHS Music Boosters. Mail your payment to:

4. At checkout, there will be the opportunity for members to purchase some required items. All wind (woodwind & brass) and percussion members must purchase specific marching band shoes. All color guard members will be required to purchase undergarments, a guard jacket, and shoes. If you have any questions about this, please email one of the directors.

Attendance at all rehearsals and performances is 100% mandatory, the calendar is located at www.wohsmusic.org. Please check the calendar often to stay informed.

All online entries are due by Friday, May 25. It is important for the staff to have accurate numbers of members for each section so please observe the deadline. Please note that there will be absolutely no refunds after July 1.

If you would like to use funds from your child's Music Boosters fundraising account towards Band Camp, please contact StudentAccounts@wohsmusic.org for information on the available amount.
