Imparting Yoga to the Expectant Mother       Teacher Training workshop

Pregnancy is a stage in a woman’s life that is quite common, yet not every woman experiences it the same way. While this can be exciting and joyful, the shift it brings in the physical, physiological and mental well-being of the pregnant woman can make it challenging, overwhelming and stressful at times.

This workshop will cover:

- An overview of the Trimesters and what to expect
- The yogic approach in dealing with pre and postnatal care
- Food and lifestyle guidelines for the different stages
- Specific tools used in yoga to be used during each trimester and the contraindications.
- Addressing associated emotional challenges through pregnancy and post-delivery
- Practical approach to taking the student through a healthy pregnancy.

The 5 hour workshop will be conducted by Ms Anupama Das and Ms Talat Fatima, experienced and certified yoga teachers & therapists from YogaVahini.

Dates: Aug 6 and 13th, 2022 (Saturdays)
Time: 3.00 - 5.30pm on each day.

For Indian Students (Living in India) – 3000 INR
For International Students – 70 USD

Facilitators -

Anupama Das has been teaching yoga in the Krishnamacharya tradition for almost 20 years and has been closely associated with YogaVahini, and other schools of yoga in various roles; as a Yoga Therapist, teacher, mentor and administrator.

Her career began in Krishnamacharya Yoga Mandiram, where she graduated, and worked as a Research Assistant under the guidance of Saraswathi Vasudevan. She endeavors to be a dedicated teacher, sincere student, and bring a sense of balance in what she does.
Based in Chennai, Anupama is a certified C-IAYT and YACEP.

Talat Fatima is a yoga teacher and therapist trained with YogaVahini in the Krishnamacharya Tradition. She started her yoga practice 10 years ago and has been teaching for close to 8 years. She is a RYT-500 and certified C-IAYT.

She is a faculty member and mentor for YogaVahini courses and is deeply interested and committed to bringing yoga as a way of life to children, young adults and women by providing a supportive and caring environment. She has been guiding pregnant  students with a nourishing and holistic  approach of yoga during the period of pregnancy and post delivery.

Talat runs her own yoga centre called Insha, in Hyderabad which is a sharing and learning space for the growing YogaVahini Sanga in Hyderabad.
