GBA's Center for Church Revitalization has funding available to assist churches in need of revitalization to create access to the gospel for all within the church's community.

Process for Application:
1.  Fill out this online form.
2.  Application will be considered by the GBA Revitalization Team.
3.  A decision will be communicated in a timely manner.

Revitalization Grants may be used for the following:
a.  Neighborhood outreach projects such as block parties, fall festivals, etc.
b.  Developing and implementing needed training.
c.  Initiating new ministries that create access to the gospel.
d.  Assistance with funding staff positions or contract workers.

Grants are based on the following four-tier scale:
*  Tier One = $5,000
*  Tier Two = $10,000
*  Tier Three = $15,000
*  Tier Four = $20,000

Criteria for Receiving Tier One Grants:
1.  The church is a member in good standing of the GBA.
     a.  Active participation in GBA meeting and/or projects.
     b.  Financial support for GBA's ministries (recommended minimum annual donation of $250 or more).
     c.  Affirmation of GBA's vision and mission.
     d.  Agreement with Baptist Faith & Message 2000.
2.  The church fits the following criteria for revitalization.
     a.  Five consecutive years of plateaued or declining worship attendance.
     b.  Five consecutive years of plateaued or declining offerings.
     c.  Five consecutive years of baptizing less than 5% of average worship attendance.
     d.  Financial reserves are exhausted.

Criteria for Receiving Tier Two Grants:
1.  All Tier One Criteria.
2.  Financial support for GBA's ministries (recommended minimum annual donation of $500 or more).
3.  The GBA Revitalization Team conducts a Church Health Assessment including:
     a.  Church vital signs study
     b.  Church demographic study
     c.  Membership survey
     d.  Facilities survey
     e.  Community demographic study
     f.  Community survey

Criteria for Receiving Tier Three Grants:
1.  All Tier One Criteria.
2.  All Tier Two Criteria.
3.  Financial support for GBA's ministries (recommended minimum annual donation of $1,000 or more).

Criteria for Receiving Tier Four Grants:
1.  All Tier One Criteria.
2.  All Tier Two Criteria.
3.  All Tier Three Criteria.
4.  Financial support for GBA's ministries (recommended minimum annual donation of $2,000 or more).

Multiple Grant Requests:
1.  Churches may request multiple grants; however, no church will receive more than a total of $20,000 in a budget year.
2.  Church may request $5,000 annually (must meet Tier One Criteria).
3.  The following scale will be used for churches requesting grants more than $5,000 in consecutive years:
      a.  Year 2:
           i.  Tier Two: $7,500
           ii.  Tier Three: $11,250
           iii.  Tier Four:  $15,000
      b.  Year 3
            i.  Church requesting more than $5,000 will receive max of $7,500
      c.  Tiers will reset four years following the church's initial request.
