General Itinerary: April 13th: 7:30am meet for bus-pick up in Falls Church, VA8am bus departs for Washington, DC8:30-10am Walk the Solomon Northup Kidnapping route (led by Corhaven Graveyard Director Sarah Kohrs) Depart for Alexandria 10:30-11:30 Visit Freedom House in AlexandriaNoon - depart for Richmond2-5pm Walk the Richmond Slave Trail (with special guest speakers) 5pm depart for Charlottesville6pm arrive Charlottesville, check in to hotel7:30pm dinner and group discussion at The LocalO/N Charlottesville
April 14th: 8:30am Depart hotel for Monticello9-12 visit Monticello visit with Hemings exhibit as well as Slavery tour at 11am12pm depart for Corhaven2-4pm Palm Sunday service and reflection at the Corhaven Graveyard (Led by Bill Haley and Sarah Kohrs) 4-6pm transfer back to Falls Church, VA
We do not recommend this trip for people under the age of 12. Mature students are very welcome to attend.
