Mentor Application Semester 2 2019
Ignite Mentoring supports high school students from low socioeconomic backgrounds to develop soft skills such as teamwork, leadership, communication and problem solving. Through gaining these skills, students increase their self-confidence and resilience, allowing them to reach their full potential.

WHAT DO MENTORS DO?
Mentors attend weekly, regular classes in small groups at schools around Perth. The role of a mentor involves engaging with students as a positive role model and leading fun, hands-on activities designed to help students develop these valuable life skills.

WHAT IS THE TIME COMMITMENT?
Nine weekly, hour long classes will run through Semester 2, 2019 from August 12th - October 25th. You will be able to indicate preferences for which regular class time slot you would like to attend if successful in your application. The role of a mentor takes up approximately three hours per week (1 hr class + max 2 hr travel).
