Co-op Rhody welcomes all Rhode Island residents who are interested in founding worker cooperatives to get in touch!

For our first cohort focused on the industry, we’re especially looking for folks with:

• Experience in the retail industry, especially
  • Retail & supply chain operations
  • Inventory management
  • Marketing
  • Finance & accounting
• Experience with cooperative governance 
• Commitment to a socially just economy
• A personal history of involvement with the criminal justice system

A LOT goes into the founding of a worker-owned business. Founding team members can expect to participate in business plan development, fundraising, branding and marketing planning, relationship-building with supply chain partners, and more.

There’s a ton of ways to get involved, even if you think that founding a cooperative isn’t for you. We’re especially looking for folks to help out with:

• Communications (social media management, content writing, videography, etc.)
• Mentorship and education (volunteering industry-relevant expertise to worker-entrepreneurs)
• Grantwriting
• Recruitment
• And more!
