The recipient of the Committee’s scholarship will receive a scholarship to cover their registration fees at a law-related conference, as well as reimbursement for reasonable travel expenses. Applicants must either practice in Oregon, attend law school in Oregon, or have a personal connection to Oregon and intend on pursuing a legal career in the state. Grants will vary in quantity, depending on the successful recipient’s needs and availability of funds, but may include conference fees paid directly to the conference organizer and reimbursement for reasonable travel expenses, subject to approval by the Bar’s Executive Director.
Special consideration in granting this scholarship will be given to applicants with disabilities, applicants seeking careers in the field of disability rights, and applicants seeking to attend disability-related conferences.
