Study on Worker Cooperative Farms
My name is Erika A. Inwald and I'm a Master's Candidate in Food Policy at New York University. For my Master's thesis I'm researching how farms that are structured as worker cooperatives, or employee-owned cooperatives, can be successful in the United States. As part of my research, I'm hoping to build a database on existing and past farms that utilize this structure in the U.S. I would love to interview current and past worker cooperative farms as well as representatives from cooperative development centers that have been instrumental in developing these types of farms. The goal of this research is to help to illuminate the state of worker cooperative farms in the United States.

For the purpose of this study, worker cooperative farms are defined as a farm where the majority of its employees/workers own and govern the farm.
