2026 Scholarly Viewpoint Challenge Registration Form - Self-paced

Are you interested in Science Communication and Research? Want to earn a publication in the STEM Fellowship Journal?

Through STEM Fellowship's Scholarly Viewpoint Challenge, students have the opportunity to learn about and practice academic writing and have their papers reviewed by PhDs and experts.

The winning papers of the challenge will receive a fully sponsored publication in the STEM Fellowship Journal (SFJ), an open-access peer-reviewed academic journal published by Canadian Science Publishing, as well as additional prizes for other high placing students.

Students will be offered personalized guidance throughout the process by graduate-level mentors. Additionally, interactive scholarly writing workshops and asynchronous e-modules will be provided to ensure students are supported when writing their viewpoint. Upon submitting their scientific viewpoints to the SFJ, students will also receive feedback from our journal editors and doctorate-holding experts in the paper's field of study.

Challenge Dates: July 6 to August 20, 2026(entirely online)

Each student is required to pay the registration fee of $45. Your registration is not considered complete until the registration fee is paid and your spot in the challenge will only be guaranteed after payment has been received.

You can e-transfer the payment to info@stemfellowship.org. For international participants, you can send the payment via PayPal at info@stemfellowship.org. Please keep your confirmation number from the payments and enter them in the question below.

When sending the registration fee, please enter the full name of the participant, the participant's email (that must match the email provided in this form), and "SVC 2026" in the e-transfer message.
