RCS Early Childhood Special Education 2015 Parent Survey

The Early Childhood Special Education department continually looks at their programs and services to make sure we are meeting the needs of both our students and their families. We have designed a parent survey to provide us with your feedback in the following areas: Staff Communication, Evaluation, IEP's, Parent Participation and Program Satisfaction. Comment sections are also provided for each statement. This parent survey is completely confidential, and participation in the survey is optional. However, parent input and suggestions are very important to us and we strongly encourage each and every family to use this opportunity to provide us with your feedback.

In addition to our ECSE Parent Survey, in April you should have received a state-wide parent participation survey that is facilitated by Wayne State University. This survey is sent to every parent of a child, birth to 26 years old, who recieves special education services in Michigan. The state sets a target for each question asked, and each district is given a report card that shows whether or not they met the target for each item. Our ECSE department uses the results of this 'report card' to ensure that we are continually working to improve our programs and services to meet the needs of our students and families. Your participation in both surveys is critical for the ECSE department.

We truely appreciate your feedback, comments and suggestions, and look forward to reviewing your responses to the surveys. If you have any questions or concerns about the surveys please feel free to contact us. We know that with your input, we can continue to make our ECSE program the best it can be for your child and your familiy!
