2nd RSPCA international meeting - 'Focus on severe suffering'

We are now close to reaching our delegate limit for this event.
If you email us (at: research.animals@rspca.org.uk ) with your name, affiliated institution and contact details we will be in touch to confirm whether we are still able to offer you a place.

This meeting will be held across two days, beginning after lunch at 14:00 on Wednesday 25 October 2017 and running through until 15:00 on Thursday 26 October 2017. The venue is in the north-east of Berlin, Germany.

Due to generous sponsorship there is no delegate fee - the meeting is FREE TO ATTEND. Refreshments, and lunch on day two, will be provided. Delegates are expected to arrange and cover their own transport and accommodation costs.

The meeting will open with a series of case studies by speakers from industry and academia, highlighting how severe suffering has been successfully reduced or avoided in specific models or procedures. The second day will feature a number of case studies in areas where challenges still remain, with participant interaction encouraged and facilitated discussion in order to identify ideas and approaches that could help to overcome these obstacles to avoiding severe suffering, and which may be more widely applicable.

The full and detailed programme will be sent to all confirmed participants.
