Fellows will be trained on the basics of organizing and then will have an opportunity to continue that training by working in a community to carry out grassroots activities under the close supervision of campaign staff. The Organizing Fellowship is designed to train and develop a new class of organizers.
Fellows will commit a minimum of 20-40 hours per week and will:-Engage voters through phone calls and canvassing-Recruit and develop relationships with volunteers and execute volunteer-led phonebanks and canvasses-Hold organizational meetings and other events to recruit new volunteers and supporters-Learn how to use digital organizing tools to reach volunteers and supporters and amplify the message of the Arizona Democratic Party
Ideal applicants for the position will meet the following requirements:-Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with short deadlines.-Excellent written and verbal communication skills.-Excellent interpersonal skills and have the ability to work within a team.-Positive attitude.-Demonstrated commitment to electing Democrats up and down the ticket in 2018.
Summer Fellowship applications are due on June 15, 2018. The 2018 Summer Fellowship Program will run from June 23, 2018 to August 12, 2018.
