Savvy STEM, CS, and CE volunteers are needed to assist with about 2 hours of online judging (per competition) of Scratch programming and/or web programming entries.
Judging can be completed independently and online at any time during the judging period. The judging period for individual competitions happen on a rolling basis though-out the year. When you signup here we will include you in quarterly email invites with new judging opportunities. You can choose to participate for a specific event or decline at that time based on your availability at the time!
All volunteers will be provided with an online rubric and grading submission system. Projects are hosted online as well, so judging can be done from anywhere with an internet connection at any time during the judging period. Judges should get, or be, familiar with Block-Based programming (see:
https://scratch.mit.edu) and/or basic HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (see:
https://app.codecraftworks.com/web).
As long as you are familiar with general programming concepts (variables, loops, conditionals, etc.), advanced knowledge of JavaScript is not required.
