We're looking for volunteers! Audubon Acres' Walker Farm Pioneer Days is an educational event that will be held November 14-18, 2023. It involves lots of 1800s-era demonstrations, including butter churning, Blacksmith , cider-making, wood tools, tours of Spring Frog Cabin, and much more.
We are in need of as many volunteers as possible to help run each of the stations. Some are specialty stations that will need someone with existing knowledge, while others can be learned by anyone. We will be holding an orientation for volunteers to get everyone familiar with what they'll be doing, so no need to be an expert!
The event runs Tuesday - Saturday from 9:30am to 1:00pm. You may volunteer as many or as few days as you're available, but we do ask that you commit to a full shift when signing up.
We ask Volunteers to arrive by 8:30am so they are able to park, assist with set up of their station and answer any questions they have.
Demonstrators you may set up as early as 7:30am, If you need to set anything up the night before arrangements can be made.
