Why is Python hard on Windows
I'm working on a project to make Python on Windows easier than it traditionally has been. To help address the challenges people commonly stumble upon when getting started with Python on Windows, I could really use your help. Please answer the three questions below to help your fellow Windows user be more Pythonic.
On Windows, what aspects of Python are unreasonably hard?
Other runtimes (CPython vs IronPython vs Conda for example)
Access / executing Python
Multiple python versions
None of these are a problem I'm having
vcvarsall.bat not found, what is this?
Installing packages via pip
Which version of Windows are you primarily using?
Windows Server 2016
Windows Server 2012
Windows Server 2008
Windows XP (you monster! ;) )
What do you remember to be hard getting started with Python on Windows? Or is still hard for you?
