Setting Financial Goals, September 21, 2021 (5:00 pm - 6:30 pm)
We all have goals. But wishful thinking alone, especially when it comes to financial goals, won’t get you there. Taking control of your finances and building a plan for your money is the best way to match your goals with your bank account balance. And setting financial goals not only gives you a reason to take control over how your money works, it also is the first step towards establishing your financial wellness. With the end in mind, you can create a roadmap to achieve your money goal.
That being said, sometimes creating and prioritizing your financial goals can be the very challenge that stops you in your track. And nowhere is that truer than if you’re trying to juggle a lot of ideas all at the same time. That’s why HawaiiUSA Federal Credit Union is here to share some simple, but extremely effective, steps on how to get started and step up your financial wellness.
By learning how to set your financial goals, you’re also developing is a skill that will serve you the rest of your life. And even when things don’t go perfectly, just keep going! The most important thing is to be consistent with your process and stick to the five steps. That way even when the unexpected occurs and throws your goals in a loop, you won’t feel the need to beat yourself up about it because you have a plan that works. And as you progress and get things back on track, you can monitor your progress and review and update your goals as needed. By doing so, you will find that both the small things you do on a daily and monthly basis, as well as the bigger things you do every year, will help you to achieve your dreams.
