DelDOT's Name That Plow Contest
The Delaware Department of Transportation is excited to announce its inaugural Name that Plow contest! DelDOT and Governor Matt Meyer are asking elementary schools (K-5) across the state to submit their best and most creative name ideas to name a snow plow in each county that will be working all winter to keep our roads clear.

❄️ The options are endless, and we want you to think big and reach for the snowflakes!

‼️ There aren’t too many rules, but we do have a few guidelines for your submissions:
  1. The name needs to be limited to 15 characters, one to two words so it will fit on the sticker. (Example: Snowball or Snow Patrol)
  2. The name can't include your name
  3. No profanity or inappropriate language
🗳️ Entry Information:
  • Submissions will be accepted until 11:59pm on Friday, December 5, 2025.
  • If there are multiple submissions of a selected name, there will be a random drawing to select the winning school.
  • Multiple submissions from the same school are permitted.
  • One winner from each county will be selected.
  • Winning schools will be notified in December by DelDOT Community Relations and a snowplow will visit the school for a picture with the students of the class.
Good luck!
