Latina Leadership Network of California Community Colleges STUDENT SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION 2018-2019

The Latina Leadership Network (LLNCCC) is pleased to announce the annual LLNCCC Scholarship. The Latina Leadership Network of the California Community Colleges will be awarding two students from each Regional Area (North, Central and South), a total of six (6) student scholarships of $500 to students currently attending a California Community College. The deadline to apply for the LLNCCC scholarship is Friday, February 1 2019. Any application that is incomplete or does not include the requested information will be considered ineligible. LLNCCC Scholarship recipients will be honored at the 32nd Annual Latina Leadership Network Conference at the Santa Ynez Valley Marriott in Buellton, CA. on Friday, March 22, 2019. LLNCCC Scholarship recipients are strongly encouraged to be present, however, it is not a requirement to qualify. Checks will be mailed following the conference to all recipients who were unable to attend.
Applicant Eligibility Criteria:
Preferred to be of Latino heritage (one parent fully Latino or each parent half Latino)
• 24 units of college work completed
• Must have a minimum 2.5 Cumulative GPA
• Currently enrolled in a California Community College
• Must provide a transcript of all work completed (unofficial transcripts will be accepted)
Applications will be evaluated based on the following criteria:
Preferred to be of Latino heritage (one parent fully Latino or each parent half Latino)
• Personal essay
• Academic achievement
• Community involvement
• Submit (2) signed letters of recommendation
