Urbnder Solar Internship
Location: Brooklyn, NY
Hours: Flexible (min 10 hrs/week)
Dates: Flexible (at least 10 weeks)
Pay: $15/hour

This is a NYSERDA-funded internship. Interns must: be attending or have attended a college or university located in New York State within the last calendar year; OR be a New York State resident attending or having attended a college or university outside of New York State within the last calendar year; OR be an 18- to 24-year-old participating in a work preparedness training program such as Board of Cooperative Educational Service (BOCES), technical high schools, AmeriCorps NCC, the Excelsior Conservation AmeriCorps, etc.

We are seeking entrepreneurial interns with a desire to have a real impact in the clean energy industry in NYC.

As an Urbnder Intern, you will assist us (the business owners) directly in a variety of areas, including marketing, project management, and operations. We have a ton to do, and we hope to capitalize on your current strengths and develop your interests, wherever they may lie.

For the right candidate, there is a possibility to grow into a full-time role post-graduation.

• Working toward a bachelor’s degree; strong preference for candidates entering junior or senior year
• Outstanding academic record; minimum 3.0 GPA
• Demonstrated interest in the clean energy industry and growth-stage businesses
• Strong preference for candidates with relevant prior internship, research, or work experience
• Ability to work on-site at our office in the Brooklyn Navy Yard

• Strong eagerness to learn and the confidence to be a self-starter
• Strong communication and analytical skills
• Detail-oriented with a passion for process and organization
• Ability to work in an unstructured environment with a great deal of discipline
• A sense of humor
