How can my organization be more accessible for people with disabilities and older adults? How do we get started? What accessible accommodations are possible? How much does it cost? How can I get buy-in from my organization’s leadership? This workshop will help you take the first steps toward creating a more inclusive experience at your organization (with help from Brittany Pyle, CCAC Steering Committee Member and Director of Audience Services, Chicago Humanities Festival and Kait Mikitin, Access Coordinator, The House Theatre of Chicago).
Who Should Attend?CCAC programs are always free of charge and open to the public. For this program, we recommend:mid-level cultural administrators from museums, theaters, zoos, gardens and other cultural spacesthose who officially (or unofficially) are responsible for accessibility at your organization
Accessibility The event space is accessible to wheelchair-users and visitors who need to avoid stairs.
